Install WorkBuddy and open it once, then follow the setup steps below.

Choose personal or team

For personal use, open My workspace → Quick setup. For team use, open Team usage → Team setup. Each scope uses its assigned key; you do not need to create or pick one. Team use needs an allowance from the owner.

Run the setup command

In My workspace → One-click setup, choose Codex and Windows, then copy the command. Open PowerShell from the Start menu, paste it and press Enter. Fully quit Codex, including its tray icon, first.

In My workspace → One-click setup, choose Codex and macOS / Linux, then copy the command. Press Command + Space, open Terminal, paste it and press Enter. Use Command + Q to quit Codex first.

In My workspace → One-click setup, choose WorkBuddy and Windows, then copy the command. Paste it into PowerShell and press Enter. Reopen WorkBuddy when setup finishes. The command already includes your current scope’s key.

Reopen and try a message

Wait for setup to finish, then reopen the client. Start a new chat and send “Hello” to check the connection.

Start a new conversation, select a RealYu GPT model and send “Hello”. Keep your other models and account as they are.

Start using it

Open a local folder in Codex, describe what you want, and attach the relevant files. Review generated content and proposed edits, then continue in the same conversation for follow-up work.

Read this folder, explain what it contains, and suggest the next step. Do not edit files yet.

Choose a work folder, select your RealYu model, and describe the result you need. Attach relevant files, review requested permissions, then check the generated files and ask for changes in the same conversation.

Summarize the files in this folder into a short report. Ask me before changing any original file.

Manual connection details

In Settings → Models → Add → Custom, use these values. The URL is the complete request address, not just /v1. Prefer one-click setup in My workspace.

Cannot copy the command?

Select Show in the command box, then select the full visible command and copy it manually. Never copy sk-**** or a screenshot of a key.

Setup failed or the app still asks you to sign in?

Fully quit the client, copy a fresh command from the correct personal or team scope, and run it again. If it fails, send the error code to your administrator with keys hidden.

Connected, but cannot send a message?

Check the current personal or team allowance and service status. A zero balance does not prevent setup, but actual requests still need funds. A team owner may need to assign an allowance.

Why are model prices and usage records in different currencies?

Each model card labels its currency: DeepSeek official reference rates are in CNY, and other model rates are in USD. Customer charges, plan allowances and usage records are in CNY. Your account records determine actual charges.

How do I purchase a plan?

Sign in and open Plans to see current products and available payment methods. Wallet purchases require sufficient funds. Recharge, merchant payment, renewal and upgrade options are unavailable unless offered.
